Sole Diva – NIKE WMNS 2014 CITY PACK

Let me just start off by being completely honest with all of you out there…the latest release by Nike for the Sole Divas has given me a severe case of sneaker envy. If you have been following what I’ve been over the years of posting articles and reviews…I’m a sucker for sneakers that are just a straight solid colour. I LOVE THAT!!! So…guess what the people at Nike go and do? They drop the Nike WMNS 2014 City Pack. OUCH! Yes I’m bitter…hurt…a little angry…but at the same time I’m not surprised one bit! LOL

The first question on your minds is probably “what is a City Pack?” Well, to clear that up for you…a couple of years ago Nike started releasing various sneaker packs that they would label “City Pack”. Within these collections of sneakers each one would comprise of a different colourway, sneaker, material and list goes on and on. With the Nike WMNS 2014City Pack the influence comes from all the fashion capitals of the world…which I think is a brilliant twist of this concept if you ask me.

The pack consists of Nike Air Force 1s in both hi and low models.  If you have ever thought of getting a pair of these sneakers…THESE ARE THE ONES TO GRAB! It is stated that the stitching on the each sneaker is supposed to represent antique maps and local history.

Here is a breakdown of the sneakers and the cities that they represent as per what is posted on

For London, the Nike Air Force 1 low is dressed in a subdued version of British racing green (Rough Green).

The Tokyo Nike Air Force 1 low pulls from the vibrant red (University Red) of the Japanese flag.

Digging into the great artistic legacy of the city, Milan’s AF1 low gives a nod to the yellow limonite ochre (Dark Citron) common in renaissance paintings.

An ode to the classic white on white (Light Bone), the New York AF1 high provides a new vision for the quintessential Air Force 1 colourway.

For Paris, the high version comes bathed in a beautiful French blue (Deep Royal Blue).

Finally, an antiqued red (Deep Burgundy) connects Shanghai to the tales of its lost dynasties.

If that wasn’t enough Nike threw in some matching Nike Benassi Slides and Nike City Collection Capes. These wonderful items are made out of durable water-resistant nylon ripstop, which is used for dealing with difficult winter weather. Nike also states that the cape features the geometric all-over print pattern from the Air Force 1 sock liner.

If you are looking for something for the holidays the Nike WMNS 2014 City Pack is something that no Sole Diva can go without. Solid beautiful colourways with amazing designs to represent each fashion capital in the world…need I say more? Let Nike drop something like these for men…they won’t even be able to stay on the shelves or online…the pre-orders will be NUTS! On that note I will finish the way I started…bitter…jealous…and envious…SIGH…
