Nike…Air Jordans…Lebrons…Foamposites…for most this seems to wrap up the depth of their sneaker collections. Believe it or not there are many sneakers that are great beyond the Nike brand…you just have to be able to step out of that lane to see them. Once you take the time to see what other brands have to offer you will be very surprised and realize that there is LOTS of sneaker life outside of the Nike Swoosh.

For those of you looking for something new check out the New Balance ML2016. An offering from New Balance that is utilizing some of their new sneaker technonlogy. Like most of the major sneaker companies on the market, New Balance has some classic sneakers of their own so why not update them for today’s market?

Well for the New Balance ML2016 it is stated that their Tokyo Design Studio used elements from the 1500, 996, 998 as well as others from the classic sneaker catalogue to create this gem. One of the things that you will notice right away with this sneaker is there is very minimal stitching on it other than on the upper portions of it. The classic “N” that is always on the side panel of the sneaker is not stitched on, but rather placed on it in a perforated manner. The sole utilizes some of New Balance’s exclusive technology called ABZORB which is used in the sole of the sneaker.

There hasn’t been any real word as yet for when the New Balance ML2016 will be available other than rumblings of early 2016. These sneakers are very clean so they will definitely make a mark on the sneaker scene as soon as they drop. They have been seen in a solid brown and black leather colourway as well as a very attractive grey suede. If you are looking for something to spruce up your collection these may be what you’re looking for!
