AIR MAX MONDAYS: Nike Air Max SP Quickstrike – Italian Camouflage

AirMaxMondays-camo-97ATTENTION…SALUTE! Now that I got your undivided attention…let me introduce to you the Nike Air Max 97 SP Quickstrike – Italian Camouflage. I will be the first to admit to you that I’m not the biggest fan of wearing anything with camouflage on it…but leave it up to Nike to sway my opinion.

Nike was able to blend the Nike Air Max 97 with Italian Camouflage and make it work. If this was not done properly it could have had disastrous results, which could have left a serious stain on Nike’s credibility. That being said, I’m sure a lot of sneakerheads out there have very strong opinions on taking classic sneakers of any kind and blending them to try and create a new product.

For this sneaker, Nike used the classic camouflage pattern to cover everything from the midsole to the insole of the Nike Air Max 97 SP QS. They even took it one step further than they normally do with these conceptual sneakers and plastered the box that the shoe comes in with the camouflage pattern as well. I’m not going to lie to you at all…I would cop these just for the box alone!  Another nice touch that Nike added to this sneaker is they sewed in an Italian flag into the camouflage insoles.
